The Smoke Alarm Monitor listens for the audible alert sound of a conventional smoke detector when smoke is detected in your home. The audible detector should be installed within 5 inches of a UL-Listed smoke detector to properly function. Utilizing abodeRF to optimize range from the abode gateway and battery life (up to 4 years on a single 3V, CR123 Lithium Battery) the listener device is a great way to be alerted to potential smoke/fire events through your abode system.
